As cheesy as it sounds, looking after yourself is paramount and vital to being the best version you can be. We’re often expected to look after everyone else around us but hardly make time for ourselves, so this retreat is for YOU, ladies.

This retreat isn’t about self-indulgence, it’s about investing time into your health and wellness. One week to focus on no one else but yourself.

In this week together, we’re going to combine and a number of different activities and workshops to help you feel rejuvenated, focused and prepared with better self-care routines for when you’re back at home.

Freediving is more than just holding your breath and diving below the surface – it’s about coming into a state of flow, where you mind and body are completely connected and in sync. 

Outside of the fun that freediving brings in the water, it is also an excellent tool to safely challenge your comfort zone, practice mindfulness and connect with yourself by listening to your body and quieting your mind. 

During the retreat you will learn to freedive with qualified, passionate and experienced instructors who will safely teach and guide you in and out of the water. 

We will teach Molchanov Freediving courses – a system designed by some of the world’s best freedivers aimed and providing quality freediving education that anyone can enjoy. If you have never completed a freediving course, you will join our Wave 1. For those who have completed a level 1 equivalent (SSI Level 1, AIDA 2 Star or Apnea Total Level 1), you will join our Wave 2. 

Our courses include classroom theory, pool sessions and open water sessions. 

Wave 1: we will introduce you to the basic principles and foundations of freediving. You will learn the techniques needed to dive down to 20 metres safely and comfortably and to be a reliable freediving buddy. You will learn about the body’s incredible ability under breath-hold and will surprise yourself with what you can achieve.

Wave 2: Continuining on from your previous level 1 freediving education, we will recap what you have previously learned and teach you how to train your body for freediving, improve on relaxation, equalization and finning techniques. You will also be introduced to freefalling (one of the most fun parts of diving), learn how to dive deeper and apply training outside of courses as well as safetying when diving.   


AMED, Indonesia

Amed is a town located on the north-east coast of Bali away from the busy crowds. Amed is approximately 2.5 hours drive from Seminyak / Kuta.

With stunning views of Mt Agung, we will be diving in Jemeluk Bay, a protected bay with beautiful coral reefs – the perfect setting for diving. 

Here, you can enjoy epic sunsets, hiking, snorkelling, quiet beaches and of course, diving.

There is a medical facility, convenience stores and a pharmacy in town. 


We will be staying at Blue Earth Village, a beautiful community space located right in town.

Blue Earth overlooks Jemeluk Bay and is within walking distance from where we will be diving.

Our daily yoga, workshops and pool exercises will be also be held here. 

All accommodation offered will be private rooms and reserved for one person each unless otherwise agreed. Please let us know if you have anyone accompanying your travels and would like to also stay with you. We also have upgrade options available that offer a larger space, private garden and deck. 

Please note that all rooms are unique and slightly different to each other.

All rooms have private bathrooms and air conditioning.

I'm totally new to diving, will I be okay?

Absolutely! This retreat is perfect for beginners because we’re really going to take our time to learn. We want you to be relaxed and comfortable so our apporach is non-competitive and we’re there to help you achieve what you can – no pressure. You will progress through each stage with our dive instructors by your side, guiding you through the process.

Is freediving dangerous?

Freediving isn’t dangerous with proper training, always using the buddy system and diving within your limits. Our instructors are experienced, qualified and will be there with you every step of the way. 

Will I get a qualification?

We will always aim to help you achieve the requirements needed for certification but the goal of the courses is to have you diving comfortably and safely. If you meet the requirements and demonstrate that you have satisfactorily achieved a sound understanding of freediving and all safety pre-requisites, you will receive the appropriate Molhanov qualification. The certification fee is an additional $50 AUD. 

Information to assist with booking flights
  • Airport: Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali
  • Arrival: Arrive on 25 July 2020 before 13:00.
  • Departure: Depart on 1 August 2020 after 15:00. 

Transport will be arranged for you from the airport to Blue Earth Village on Saturday, 25 July 2020. Transport back to the airport will leave Amed at 10:30 am. The trip between the airport and Amed will take 2.5 – 3 hours. 

If you are planning on spending time in Bali before or after, please let us know so we can arrange alternative transport for you (additional costs may apply).

What else do I need to organise?

You will need to book your flights and comprehensive travel insurance, we won’t accept your booking without it. For travel insurance, we recommend Southern Cross Travel Insurance (only for Australia and New Zealand residents) or World Nomads.
